Dr Michael Mosley often shares his weight loss tips with slimmers online as well as on television. He is the creator of The Fast 800 – a diet plan that helps people lose weight quickly.
To find a healthy food plan that suits you, Dr Mosley recommended visiting his website, The Fast 800, where you can search through hundreds of tasty recipes.
The doctor makes sure to use nutritious ingredients in his recipes that contribute towards weight loss.
Dr Mosley knows his recipes work because he himself has tried them.
He explained: “Eight years ago, I was diagnosed as a type two diabetic.

“I was not particularly overweight, weighing about 189lbs and I didn’t look particularly fat, but that was because a lot of the fat I was carrying was internal.
“I went for a special MRI scan and I found out that I had lots of fat clogging up my internal organs.
“Rather than start on medication I decided to try a combination of intermittent fasting and a Mediterranean diet and successfully managed to reverse my diabetes.”
Dr Mosley has waxed lyrical about the Mediterranean diet in the past, saying how it is one of the most effective diets for weight loss.

He previously told Express.co.uk: “The Mediterranean diet is the healthiest diet on the planet.
“There is this perception that Italian food is predominantly pasta and pizza, but that is not true.
“It’s actually packed with fruit, vegetables, nuts, olive oil and fish – all of which are good for you and have been proven to prevent dementia, strokes, cardiovascular disease, heart disease and even in some cases, been known to reverse type two diabetes.”
As a result of this knowledge, Dr Mosley incorporates the Mediterranean diet into his daily routine and usually sticks to the same foods.VegetablesFor breakfast, the doctor said he normally eats mushroom omelette with kimchi-style sauerkraut.
“This is great for the gut,” he explained.
He went on to say: “For lunch, I might have a turmeric chicken salad or a chickpea tagine.”
As for dinner, Dr Mosley will usually eat salmon and broccoli or a kimchi rice tofu bowl.Low carb diets expainedHe added: “I try to avoid snacks generally but if I do occasionally indulge, it might be on something reasonably healthy like a handful of nuts.
“My wife Clare makes these wonderful sugar free chocolate brownies that contain beetroot and dates.
“They are pretty hard to resist but thankfully, they’re guilt-free.
“I try and drink plenty of water throughout the day and I avoid sugary drinks.
“I might add a slice of lemon or cucumber to my water to liven it up.”
Of his Fast 800 recipes, Dr Mosley’s favourite is “the turmeric roasted cauliflower with dhal” because “it’s filling, moderately low carb and a great source of plant protein and gut friendly fibre”.
The nutrition expert added: “We also eat a lot of fermented food like sauerkraut and kimchi.
“I have got into the habit of adding sauerkraut to almost all meals, including my eggs in the morning, salmon at lunch and then also on most evening meals too.”
