If you are looking to expand your diet plan by adding more healthy and nutritious food to it, we recommend you to try fig. Loaded with macro and micronutrients, figs can help you shed kilos, boost metabolism and increase stamina. Whether you choose to have it as a raw fruit or the dried version, in both ways, fig can benefit you in more than one way. Here we will tell how fig helps in weight loss and are excellent for those dealing with low stamina.
Figs can be eaten as raw fruit or one can have its dried version. Both are equally nutritious and healthy. Dried figs are dehydrated; they contain less amount of water and more concentrated nutrients as compared to raw figs. But the drying process can also lead to nutrient loss, depending on the method used to dry it.
Both raw and dried figs are loaded with protein, fibers and contain a small amount of fat. When it comes to micronutrients, this delicious fruit is packed with calcium, potassium, iron and copper.
When you are trying to shed kilos, you can have fresh or dried figs between your meals to curb your hunger. Loaded with fiber and protein, figs keep you fuller for a longer time and prevent you from unhealthy munching. If you are eating dried figs, first soak them overnight in water. Soaking makes it easier for our body to digest them and absorb all the nutrients. As they are low in calories, you do not even have to worry about your daily calorie count.

Rich in iron and potassium content, figs can also help to boost your stamina. For all those who feel low and tired all the time, having figs with a glass of milk in the morning can help them build stamina over time and energize them. Just boil one fig in a glass of milk and drink it in the morning. You can have it along with your breakfast.
When it comes to raw fruit, you can easily have 2-3 figs in a day. If you are having dried figs, stick to 3 figs and do not have them without soaking overnight. Our body can absorb the nutrients and digest some dried fruits and nuts in a better way when they are soaked well. Those suffering from high blood sugar levels, blood-related problems, liver and digestive issues must be extra careful while consuming figs in excess quantity.
