Breon Ansley is a two-time Classic Physique Olympia champion and intends to add another trophy to his cabinet when he makes his way on stage at 2022 Mr. Olympia. In a recent Instagram post, Breon shares that 2022 will be his last year competing in the Classic Physique division.
Ansley last competed at the 2022 Arnold Classic and battled against some of the sport’s rising talent. He finished in fourth place overall trailing behind Urs Kalecinski, runner-up Ramon Rocha Queiro, and two-time Arnold Classic champion Terrence Ruffin. Following his performance in Ohio a few weeks ago, Breon reflected on the pivotal moment, and revealed, “the outcome has been very tough for me to handle”. This was Breon’s first time failing to make it to the podium since 2016 where he placed fourth in his Olympia debut.
In addition to announcing his last year in the Classic Physique division, Ansley also mentioned that he has exciting details to share concerning his upcoming bodybuilding season. At 43 years old, Breon is still giving younger bodybuilders a run for their money. With confidence he will contend for a title this year, Breon shared that he is currently weighing a lean 206lbs.
Ansley shared a post on Instagram and indicated that 2022 will be his last year competing in the Classic Physique division. The decorated bodybuilder shared a series of poses including, front double biceps, back double-biceps, abs and thigh, and a side chest.
“Checks & Balances here at 206lbs! Natural light is always the most humbling without shadows showing added details and seperation. As this will be my last year in the Classic Division I have a few exciting details to share with you guys on the gameplan that brings us confidence we will contend for the title again!🥇” Breon Ansley shared.
