We’ve got healthy eating advice for everyone – whether you have type 1, type 2 or another type of diabetes. It’s also relevant if you are newly diagnosed or have been told you are at risk of diabetes.
An important part of managing your condition is to eat a healthy, balanced diet. There’s no such thing as a ‘diabetic’ diet or ‘diabetic’ recipes.
You’ll find advice and tips on everything from healthy swaps, understanding food labels, how to cook healthier meals, meal planning and shopping on a budget. If you’re in need of healthier mealtime inspiration, go to our recipe finder.
This February, challenge yourself to swap processed food with healthy, home-cooked meals.
Following a balanced diet will allow you to manage your blood sugar levels and also help you keep to a healthy weight. Both are important when you have diabetes. To make it that bit easier, answer three quick questions about yourself below and we’ll search out eating advice from our experts that we think will be really useful for you.

  1. The next time I read a blog, I hope that it doesnt disappoint me as much as this one. I mean, I know it was my choice to learn, but I actually thought youd have something fascinating to say. All I hear is a bunch of whining about something that you might repair in case you werent too busy on the lookout for attention.
