Since moving to Cleveland a little more than two years ago, one of my favorite day trips has become the Lodi Station Outlets in Burbank, Ohio.
This charming outlet mall is home to more than 60 stores and two vintage locomotives – making an excursion here both family-friendly and perfect for anyone who enjoys finding a good deal!
This outlet mall includes more than 300,000 square feet of stores and retail brands such as the Gap Outlet, Aerpostale, Levi’s, Tommy Hilfiger, The Children’s Place, The Jockey Store, Pendleton, the Bath & Body Outlet and more!
In addition to shopping, a full-service dining hall is on-site featuring well-known eateries such as Auntie Anne’s and Subway.
There is also a special “candy station” for children in the dining hall and the Caboose Corner – a gift shop featuring Lodi Station T-Shirts, coffee mugs, train engineer hats and more.
Speaking of trains, the two vintage locomotives – named Sophie and Victoria – are available to ride during your visit. Tickets are $3.50 each and take you through a scenic two-mile excursion around the station property. These one-of-a-kind trains are hand-crafted to emulate the same trains once used extensively for passenger travel. Both models come from England, can reach speeds of up to 15 mph and are equipped with sound-enhancement. This means passengers hear the same noises they would if they were riding a full-size train years ago.
Located between Cleveland and Columbus, the Lodi Station Outlets are easily accessible from Interstate 71. The station address is 9911 Avon Lake Road in Burbank, Ohio. (Be sure to set your GPS device to Burbank, Ohio and not Lodi.) You can also find the outlets on Facebook and Twitter.
Information about special events, sales, a preferred shoppers club and more is available online, along with hours of operation for both the stores and the trains. Please Note: Inclement weather may impact the train schedule, so be sure to call ahead or check the outlet mall website before your visit.
While you are there, consider making your shopping trip into an overnight stay and visiting some of the other amazing attractions Ohio has to offer, including Ohio Amish Country and the Pro Football Hall of Fame. See you at the station!

  1. Hey! This is kind of off topic but I need some guidance from an established blog. Is it very hard to set up your own blog? I’m not very techincal but I can figure things out pretty fast. I’m thinking about setting up my own but I’m not sure where to start. Do you have any tips or suggestions? Cheers
