In what might be some of the most exciting news this year, Sweat (a.k.a. the app co-founded by Aussie fitness star Kayla Itsines, and home to workouts from trainers Kelsey Wells and Cass Olholm) has revealed its first ever UK-based trainer, Fleur East.
The singer and qualified PT has launched her own Sweat workout programme, dubbed Energising HIIT with Fleur, and to mark the occasion she’s put together an exclusive 20-minute full body AMRAP (As Many Reps As Possible) HIIT workout just for you, as readers of Women’s Health UK.
It’s designed for all levels, from ‘beginner to intermediate’, says Fleur, with the option to progress or regress via the pace that you choose to go at. This kind of inclusive approach is apparent throughout her entire Sweat programme, with the goal being to make every woman ‘feel amazing’. ‘I want all women to be able to train with me and feel like we’re all in it together,’ she says.
‘Exercise is so important for my mental health, I’ve found that whenever I have felt quite low it was when I let my exercise routine slip,’ Fleur tells WH. ‘I love that working out gives me energy and helps keep me focused. For me it’s about how I feel rather than how my body looks.’
As for her exclusive AMRAP HIIT workout, she adds: ‘AMRAP workouts are great for getting maximum effort out of exercise in a short amount of time – which is great if you just want to get a quick workout session in and still work up a sweat.
‘If you’re struggling with getting going, get a workout buddy to join in and do it together. Online workouts like this one are a great place to start if you’re lacking in confidence because you can work out in an environment you’re comfortable in, without the pressure of anyone watching you.’
